Dr. Lederer is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of medical diseases of the retina. He is currently a clinical investigator for various national clinical trials on retinal diseases, authored numerous publications and serves as a reviewer for scholarly journals. Dr. Lederer is an Affiliate Member of the McGill Department of Ophthalmology and has served as the Director of Teleophthalmology and worked closely with Health Canada to deploy remote screening programs. His current passion is education and Dr. Lederer proudly serves as the Chief Executive Officer for EyeCarePD, a professional development start-up company providing engaging, convenient and effective tools designed to deepen ophthalmic knowledge.

Dr. Lederer has garnered many honors and awards including his appointment as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the Frank Buller Award for Most Outstanding Clinical Instructor, McGill University Department of Ophthalmology Leadership Award, along with multiple grants for academic achievement.
A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, he received his MD at Tufts University School of Medicine, performed his residency at McGill University in the Department of Ophthalmology and completed a Medical Retina Fellowship at Duke University. He currently practices in Montreal, Quebec.
